" Last year General Motors debuted two beautiful new roadsters, the Pontiac Solstice and the Saturn Sky. Both cars received praise for their inspired design, but for many, the hard lines and chiseled angles of the Sky were thoroughly captivating. But beauty isn't everything. A car like the Sky needs to drive as well as it looks, and that's where the Redline comes in. General Motors has taken the well-behaved Sky and injected it with some serious performance. Under the hood, GM has fitted the Sky Redline with a 2.0 liter, turbo-charged Ecotec engine that cranks out a whopping 260 horsepower and 260 pound feet of torque. That's a lot of horses for this little roadster, in fact, GM claims that pound for pound, this is the most powerful engine in its lineup. And it shows, especially off of the line, where the Red Line jumps to 60 miles per hour in just 5 and one-half seconds. But that's not all, the Sky Redline is also ready to corner with a four-wheel independent, performance tuned suspension, 18 inch alloy wheels, and in case you get in trouble, GM's Stabilitrak system is there to help get you back on track. The Saturn Sky is a Head Turner on the road. Lets face it this is one of the best looking 2door roadster ever put on the road. This car is beautiful to look at and fun to Drive. Suz DeCarolis

I'm watching "saving GM" right now and they talk of how they are finally putting quality on par with the japanese and euro cars. Yet here it is. An example of an american car that I just can not purchase as the quality and design falls short. Via Consumer Reports -- Lows: Top design, fit and finish, reliability. The best in it's class. Probably the popular Miata (yea, you guessed it, japanese). The sooner GM dies the better. Who could care less.

boohoo you lazy fag. s2000 cr is 10k difference in price, not 4k. you compares base s2000 price to saturn top dollar/trim level price. An electronic retracting roof isnt worth 10k.

Nice, I saw an Opel badged one of these here in Blighty today, spoke to the owner who had bought it from a specialist importer of LHD cars. Looks good and blends in well with other Opel (+vauxhall) products in the current line up. I guess although built in the U.S. the styling has had a lot of Euro influence fronm the Opel design guys to make it look the way it does.

I hate to break it to you, but Opel is a part of GM. The Opel speedster is actually a Saturn Sky shipped FROM the us TO the uk. That's why the opel is not available in right hand drive, because it comes from the same factory as the Sky and Solstice. Nice try though.
